Chris is a professional musician based in West London, UK. He has been playing music since first picking up a pair of drumsticks when he was 5. Now he is a professional recitalist and ensemble musician specialising in flute, saxophone, and singing as a tenor.
He is also a full-time researcher and writer on all manner of musical and wider arts topics, from performance pedagogy, the classical music world in the modern day, gaming (particularly music in gaming), and youth arts.
While he finishes writing up his PhD thesis in flute performance practice, Chris is continuing to expand his publication list — in part, by working on the JSMG Hades Special Edition as an editor and author — and enjoying a plethora of other side projects, including writing and researching for Just Flutes of London, and researching forensic musicology's applications within copywright law under Dr Chen Zhu as part of the University of Birmingham CAL Collaborative Research Internship.
